Playa de Famara
Meeting point, parking and useful information if you are coming to Famara for the first time.
Where we meet
We meet at Playa de Famara, 15 minutes before the start of your session. The meeting point is easy to find and gives us enough time to get ready, and walk together to our spot for the day.
What to bring
Swimwear, towel, flip-flops or sandals, a large bottle of water and surf-proof sunscreen, even on cloudy days, are the basics. If you like, bring a snack for after the session or in between. I care for boards and Wetsuits and everything else.
Good to know
- Playa de Famara is a protected beach and dune landscape and part of the Geoparque Lanzarote y Archipiélago Chinijo.
- There are no sanitary facilityies such as toilets or showers at the beach. Please keep this in mind before you arrive and help keeping the dunes clean.
- Please park only in appropriate parking zones. Don´t Park on the sand or dunes.
Parking at the Beach of Famara
On very busy days, it is often easier to park a little further away around the village and plan a 10–20 minute walk to the meeting point. Why not grab a snack or coffee in Famara and enjoy a relaxed walk to the beach instead of spending that time looking for parking?
